Is Vitamin therapy safe?Yes, IV vitamin therapy is a safe and effective method to replenish fluids and nutrients in the body. IV therapy has been utilized for over 50 years and was developed by Dr. John Myers (the Myer’s cocktail). All our vitamins are FDA approved and go through high levels of testing before they are made available to our clients. All IV drips are administered by a licensed registered nurse or nurse practitioner. Before any client receives IV therapy we evaluate their health history, medication/ supplements, vital signs and overall goals/ issues.

Is IV Hydration and Vitamin Injections for everyone? Most people can benefit from IV hydration and Vitamin Injections, however, We do not treat minors under 18 years of age as well as pregnant women. Certain medical conditions such as heart, liver or kidney problems can also disqualify you from receiving these treatments. Patients undergoing chemotherapy are also not eligible to receive IV hydration unless authorized by your oncologist and consultation is scheduled prior. Your medical history and vital signs will be reviewed and assessed prior to beginning treatment at Wholeistic Wellness to ensure that you are a candidate for IV hydration therapy.
-
What can I expect during the process? After your appointment is confirmed, you’ve filled out all necessary intake forms, and you arrive at the clinic, you will take a seat and relax in a recliner chair. A professional team member will then take your vital signs and inform you of any potential side effects prior to beginning your treatment. A small IV catheter will then be placed into the vein and the saline solution and vitamins are then infused into the bloodstream.
-
Does it hurt? When an IV needle is placed, it can cause some slight discomfort. You may feel a small sting or pinch for a few seconds when the needle is inserted in your arm or hand. If you're particularly sensitive to needles, you may ask for a numbing cream, so you don't feel the needle.
-
How long does it take? Most of our IV infusions can last up to 30-60 minutes depending on your vein, IV catheter size, and your health history.
-

Why not just take supplements? Many people do not absorb vitamins in their digestive tract very well. For those dealing with digestive issues such as constipation, crohn's disease, celiac disease, IBS it can be helpful to bypass the digestive tract and go directly to the bloodstream for high absorption at the cellular level.

Not only is it more hydration, but you are also receiving essential vitamins and nutrients at the cellular level. Although oral hydration is beneficial, the tissues in the throat and the digestive system receive most of the fluid. But what about the rest of the body? IV hydration supplements your ENTIRE body to help you feel like your optimal self. Any multifaceted individual with limited time will benefit from this service.
